Our story
A garage, a coach and sixty-odd years of the same habit.
Three stops on one road
Sixty-odd years of the same habit: make it, hand it to athletes, fix what they complain about.
1961
The garage years
STRIDE began in a converted garage outside Atheria, where coach Indra Vane stitched reinforced training jerseys for the athletes on her own roster. There was no five-year plan — just a coach tired of watching good gear fail good athletes.
The first pieces were made a dozen at a time, tested on the same hill circuit every weekend, and reworked before the next batch. Make, test, fix, repeat: every STRIDE product is still built that way.
1974
Podium proof
For years STRIDE was a word-of-mouth name among club riders and runners. Then three athletes in early prototypes finished on the same podium at a regional championship, and all three credited the gear without being asked.
That moment didn’t change what we made. It changed how many people were paying attention to it.
Today
The next mile
STRIDE now outfits athletes across cycling, running, swimming and team sports, with lower-impact materials, longer product lives and manufacturing partners held to our own standard.
The next chapter is proving that performance and responsibility aren’t a trade-off.
Purpose comes before margin, every time.
